Satanic Mill still Exists

Today states lose their power as a result of global transformations. All European Union States for example lost their monetary policy in order to join the Union. We can also observe an increase of capital and human mobility among nations. However this is a trend, a tendency. Globalization for my opinion and contrary to many authors doesn’t exist yet but we can observe a revolutionary process through globalize world. I think we leave in a world of new questions and new confusions but I can also say that this new framework is an old process. Is it possible by this process the transformation of old states to new organizations? I can imagine international organizations like a kind of magnet or something similar to black holes that attract solely states. Can we observe this kind of transformations? If this is true Ricardo’s comparative advantage doesn’t exist anymore and Smith’s absolute advantage is more appropriate for our analysis. However this implies many good and bad things inside the European Union. From the other hand Marx will be happy by this process. His dream for a global state is getting closer and closer but through an absolutely different process. Polanyi’s satanic mill is still working not only for humans but also for the states and nowadays has been formal recognized from ‘’western’’ alliance. European Union dream must be droved by the most ideal principles which at the same time must be written in a realistic framework if we want our policies to be successful.
